Joel Argueta was hit with a first-degree murder charge on Thursday, July 6, Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel, Elizabeth Police Director Earl Graves, and Elizabeth Police Chief Giacomo Sacca announced.
On Friday, June 23 at 9:39 p.m., Elizabeth police responded to Spring Street and 3rd Ave where they found Guevara suffering from gunshot wounds to the head, authorities said. Guevara was pronounced dead at the scene.
